Holiday Party: The 4th of July!

It is officially only DAYS away from my favorite day of the entire year…the 4th of July!! I’ve literally been counting down since July 5, 2009, so you can believe me when I say I’m beyond excited. And obviously extremely patriotic.

While I’ll be celebrating on the beach all day, here’s some inspiration if you feel like throwing your own all-American birthday bash.

Invite: Hundreds and hundreds of patriotic templates are available online. A few favorites:

Decorate: Pretty self-explanatory, yes? Red, white and blue, flags, Americana etc.

Eat: You can’t go wrong with All-American classics like burgers and corn on the cob! Just be sure to save room for dessert.

Baby Burgers

Grilled Corn on the Cob

Spring Garden Potato Salad

Watermelon Star Pops

When I was growing up my grandpa would always make a huge sheet cake decorated with berries to look like the American flag…apparently lots of other people do this too…

American Beer!!

Bomb Pop Martini

Firecracker Shot

Want things to get really festive? Try your hand at lighting a shot on fire and then sprinkling cinnamon on it to make it sparkle and look like this:

But PLEASE be safe and follow these directions before attempting to create any flaming beverages.
